Sweet, spicy and smoky make for a delicious everything!  This superfood sauce “completes me,” and I think you’ll feel the same way.  Turmeric, garlic, curry powder, dates, and more….are all ingredients that beautify from the inside out. from the inside out. Serve it raw on top of cauliflower rice, zucchini noodles or cucumbers.  Serve it warmed on top of cooked foods, like: steamed veggie noodles, steamed or roasted veggies, rice and legumes. The options are endless.

Ingredients

  • 2 navel oranges, peeled and quartered 
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes   
  • ¼ cup raw, unhulled sesame seeds 
  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted 
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed, or more to taste 
  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced basil 
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder 
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder 
  • 1 teaspoon minced red fresno chili, or more, to taste 
  • ½ teaspoon smoked sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon. freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

Directions

Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until very smooth.  Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference.

butterfly Cook's Notes:

The sauce can be served cold or warm.  Feel free to freeze it as well. The sauce should last a week in the refrigerator.  You can even freeze it!
