Sparkling Sweet Rose-Yay
Makes: 8 cups —about 10, 6 ounce servings
Did you know that strawberries are part of the rose family (Rosaceae?) I’m having some girlfriends over, whom I love, to celebrate a birthday. Pink Champagne is in order, right?–Not! Many of us are going alcohol free these days, but still want to enjoy the act of toasting and celebrating. So I thought, hmmm, I wonder if using rose family fruit would create a rosé tasting mock-champagne. After a little experimenting Sparkling sweet Rose-Yay! was born, much to my friends’ delight. Like your rosé dry? Check out our Sparkling Brut Rose-yay, as well, made with raspberries—more tart than strawberries and are the perfect fruit to create a “Brut Sparkling Rose-Yay! By the way, raspberries are also a fruit from the rose family!
Equipment needed: juicer, (or nut bag*), and strainer
