Even though I eat Whole Plant Foods, I still overeat during the holidays, allowing myself to indulge and have those desserts with maple syrup, or some bread, or a little oil and salt. It’s tough to stay away from all of these taste enhancing ingredients. It’s important to get right back on track and reset the taste buds with super healthy ingredients. A juice day is the perfect remedy for overeating, or feeling bloated and tired. Try it, I know you’ll like it! Below is my favorite way to have a reset juice day, inspired by the Medical Medium, but feel free to create your own version. Just remember to drink lots of water and try to make it an all raw fruit and vegetable juice day.
1- Upon waking up:
Drink 16 oz. of water with the juice of ½ lemon.
Wait 15 to 20 minutes.
2- Make celery juice, and drink 16 oz. celery juice, saving the rest for later in the day.
Wait one hour.
3- Make 16 oz. apple/cucumber juice and drink.
Wait 30 minutes to 1 hour.
4- Make blended melon and drink as much as you’d like.
Wait one hour.
5- Make 16 oz. apple, ginger, celery juice, and drink.
Wait an hour.
6- Drink 16 oz. celery juice.
Wait an hour.
7- Before bed: Drink 16 oz. lemon water.
Wake up the next morning feeling GREAT!
