Giving and receiving roses is so lovely and makes one’s heart sing. Why not give the gift of health from the Rose family — whose botanical name is Rosaceae. Just smell the rose scent in apples, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, apricots, and stoned fruits; it’s so mesmerizing. Here’s a super special way to eat from the ‘rose garden’ with these very satisfying, super healthy date energy balls made with dried cherries, apricots, and almonds.

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup organic raw or blanched almonds
  • 3⁄4 cup organic sprouted rolled oats
  • 1⁄4 cup dried, no sugar added apricots, finely diced
  • 1⁄4 cup, no sugar added sun-dried cherries, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup Medjool dates, pits removed and cut into quarters

Directions

Place the almonds in the bowl of a food processor and process until fine.
Add all the other ingredients and process until the mixture comes together.
Form into 1” balls (about 1 oz. each) or larger if you wish.

butterfly Cook's Notes:

Serve as a satisfying snack or gift it! I like to place 3 balls in small plastic gift bag, tie with a ribbon, and give this gift of health to friends
