Giving and receiving roses is so lovely, and definitely makes one’s heart sing. This year for the month of love, why not give the gift of health from the Rose family — whose botanical name is Rosaceae. Just smell the rose scent in apples, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, apricots and stoned fruits; it’s so mesmerizing. Here’s a super special way to eat from the ‘rose garden’ with these super satisfying, super healthy date energy balls made with dried cherries and apricots and almonds, all from the Rose family.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup organic raw or blanched almonds
  • ¾ cup organic sprouted rolled oats
  • ¼ cup dried, no sugar added  apricots, finely diced
  • ¼ cup, no sugar added  sun-dried cherries, finely diced
  • 14 medjool dates, pits removed and cut into quarters

Instructions

  1. Place the almonds in the bowl of a food processor and process until fine.
  2. Add all of the other ingredients and process until the mixture comes together.
  3. Form into 1” balls (about 1 oz. each) or larger if you wish.
