When I learned that raspberries are part of the Rose Family (Rosaceae), I just had to make an alcohol free Sparkling Rosé for Valentines while enjoying a red rose bouquet on the table.  Two different “bouquets,” yet related!  I use Perrier to make the Rosé “sparkling,” as it contains the smallest  amount of sodium compared to all of the other fizzy waters.

When you taste it you’ll say “No Way!  I can’t believe it’s not Rosé.” Here’s to your health and here’s to Rose-Yay!

Ingredients

  • 18 ounces  (3- 6 ounce. boxes) raspberries, juiced and strained  (yields 1-1-/4 cups juice)
  • 2 pounds red grapes, washed, juiced, and strained  (yields 2 cups)
  • 24 ounces. Perrier, chilled, or more to taste

Directions

Make the base juice:
  1. Juice the red grapes, then strain through a fine mesh strainer, to make 2 cups of juice to make 2 cups. You may need to clean out the juicer halfway through juicing as the pulp may clog the juicer. Reserve.
  2. Juice the raspberries, then strain through a fine mesh strainer to make 1 cup of juice. You may need to clean out the juicer halfway through juicing as the pulp may clog the juicer. Reserve.
Make the Brut Rosé:
  1. Mix the juices together, and chill until very cold.
  2. Fill champagne glasses 1/3rd full with the base juices, and top off with Perrier.
To Serve:

Toast to your health!
