Banana Berry Chia Seed Pudding

Written by Eydie Desser

Ch Ch Ch Wow! At Garden of Eydie, we’re always looking for ways to increase the health benefits of sweet/dessert recipes. This delicious, healthy treat is a treat your body will love!

Chia seeds are tiny, but huge in nutrient stature. An excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, chia raises the good HDL cholesterol, is rich in antioxidants, provides fiber, calcium, iron and is a good source of protein.

Berries are antioxidant powerhouses– the miracle fighters of free radicals. Their deep colors come from the polyphenols known as anthocyanin, offering anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-cancer benefits.

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 4 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 ripe medium banana (about 8 inches long), frozen
  • ¼ cup blackberries (about 8), frozen
  • ¼ cup strawberries (about 5-6), frozen
  • 1 tbsp date syrup
  • ¼ tsp almond extract

1- Place all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

Enjoy for breakfast, afternoon treat, or dessert anytime. You can even use it as a sauce on top of Garden of Eydie’s Mango Lime Sorbet, or a dressing for a fruit salad. The uses are endless. Please let us know your serving ideas.
