When the garden, (or the produce department!), gives zucchini’s, tomatoes and eggplant, it means ratatouille is calling your name! Of course, we make it salt, oil, and sugar free, but trust me you won’t miss it. Tomatoes, inherently, have a super salty flavor, which helps us rely on spices to help further develop those flavors. By adding smoked sweet paprika and a pinch of heat, you’re sure to enjoy this healthier version, as much, or even more than the original!

Hydrating and Healing Green Smoothie
Dr. Brooke Goldner, author of “Goodbye Lupus,” is not only beautiful and inspiring, but a brilliant doctor who healed herself of Lupus. She was dying, literally, of the disease. Her doctors told her she wouldn’t live more than a year. She met the handsome Thomas Tadlock, who asked her to marry him, and she asked him to get her in shape for their wedding. This Green Smoothie was part of the protocol.
She drank it everyday, got super strong with weights and her Lupus symptoms diminished greatly…a side benefit they didn’t even realize would happen. Within a few more months, her Lupus was GONE! was doing amazing things for her lupus. It was healing her. They drink their smoothie everyday, as well as her patients, flooding their bodies with nutrients and vitamins that fight free radicals and keep your body humming with health, no matter what ails you.

Garden of Eydie Quick & Easy Kale Salad
I first learned about making a Kale Salad from a beautiful woman named Jasmine, who provided cleanses for her clients. She added Spirulina powder, which turns the Kale salad a bright green color. It doesn’t change the flavor, much, but adds a ton of nutrition. I added Goji berries to sweeten the salad, as well as garlic and cumin to round out all the flavors. It’s so delicious and so healthy. GO for it.
Curried Cauliflower with Scallions and Golden Raisins
One of my favorite chefs is Alfred Portale of Gotham Bar & Grill, NYC. I love him and his food so much, that I celebrated my graduation from the French Culinary Institute there, with my best girlfriend and soon to be husband, Ed! Chef pulled out all the stops for me.
I am “plant-basing” many of his recipes and excluding salt, oil and sugar. This dish tastes amazing SOS free!
Fruit, Veggie and Cookie Dough Balls
Inspiration can come in many different ways. In this particular case, it was all about ease, and of course, taste. I wanted to create something simple, yet nutritious and delicious! Each “dough ball” has a unique quality to nourish the body, in different ways. For example, carrots are high in Vitamin C, which helps in the formation of collagen and absorption of iron. Blueberries are considered to be “the king of antioxidants”. They can protect against premature aging AND have the ability to reduce blood pressure. Cookie dough is…cookie dough. Enough said! –Ashley
Now you don’t have to go all the way to the cinema to enjoy delicious, but pricey, popcorn. This homemade popcorn is BETTER THAN WHAT YOU CAN GET AT THE MOVIES and 10 times healthier. This also makes for the perfect lunchtime snack for your child at school. It will keep them thinking about you (and loving you!) even when they’re not with you. –Ashley
