Now you don’t have to go all the way to the cinema to enjoy delicious, but pricey, popcorn. This homemade popcorn is BETTER THAN WHAT YOU CAN GET AT THE MOVIES and 10 times healthier. This also makes for the perfect lunchtime snack for your child at school. It will keep them thinking about you (and loving you!) even when they’re not with you.

Equipment needed: Microwave

Ingredients

  • 1 bag microwavable popcorn 
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons oil and salt free almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup maple sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 300℉

Make the Popcorn:

1. Place the popcorn bag in the microwave and cook according to box directions.
2. Pour cooked popcorn onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Set aside.

Making the caramel coat:
  1. Place maple syrup and almond butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add cinnamon and maple sugar
  3. Remove from heat and pour over popcorn.
  4. Use a wooden spoon or silicone spatula to stir and evenly coat the popcorn.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Let sit for another 15 minutes to cool.

Turn on the TV and enjoy!
